Thursday 14 June saw the professions come together in the beautiful gardens of Gray’s Inn, to raise a glass to celebrate 50 years of the Legal Charities Garden Party.
Ever fortunate with the weather, the evening sunshine was perfect for this golden anniversary party. Hosts and guests seemed in excellent spirits, with the steel pan and jazz bands on hand for musical entertainment. Not forgetting the fabulous team of trainees, whose volunteer efforts helped make it a memorable evening.
The yearly gathering was the brainchild of Dennis Gordon (founder of the Holborn Law Society) back in 1968. Since then, lawyers from every walk of legal life have gathered every June to support the work of their professions’ charities. Proceeds from the party will be going to :
