Take a look at our recent webinar on the support available for sole practitioners and small firms during lockdown. The outbreak of COVID-19 has had an effect on fellow lawyers within this group. As a result, many have found themselves in need of financial, emotional and practical assistance.
The online talk features the following speakers who gave their expertise on how the pandemic has impacted colleagues within these groups.
During the discussion, Nick Gallagher said:
“A third of the people who have come to us for help are sole practitioners. And another third are in small firms with fewer than five partners.
At The Solicitors’ Charity, the people we help are normally not fit for work. COVID-19 gave us a different challenge. The people who were seeking help, are normally fit for work but are unable to because of the pandemic.
We thought we needed to do a couple of things. One was to gather information for people, but also to give practical financial help for those suffering personal hardship.”
